BHA programs are designed to provide outreach, and health education globally. We also provide screenings to marginalized persons of color at community events throughout Texas.

🖤Black Heart University (BHU)
One of the best weapons for reducing heart health disparities is prevention education. Unfortunately, individuals who identify as Black and other persons of color have significantly lower levels of health literacy than their White peers (Richard et al., 2016). To address this disparity, BHA provides culturally appropriate health education on CVD, its risk factors, and prevention.
🖤HeartGUARDS Ambassador Program
The Black Heart Association (BHA) HeartGUARD Ambassador Program has been created to provide an opportunity for individuals with a passion for people to represent BHA in their community by promoting healthy hearts and advocating for people of color in underserved communities. One person dies from Heart Disease every 36 seconds. BHA is committed to bringing awareness to the black community regarding preventing heart disease and stroke.
